Photography is my passion. When not shooting weddings or portraits I am rarely without a camera in hand, capturing people and scenarios I come across (see my blog for examples). Cityscape, landscape and the beauty of nature are also regular subjects of mine. I hope that this passion and dedication to photography comes across as you view my gallery.
Everybody has different needs and requirements when they look to hire a photographer. I feel it is important to work together, with my client, from the start of a project, so that a shared vision for a successful outcome can be achieved. Being a successful photographer is more than just having the right equipment, technical knowledge and eye for composition; it is also about being able to develop successful relationships. A natural rapport creates a relaxed environment, allowing the photographer to capture the true spirit and essence of the individual or event.
Apart from my professional work I currently also have a number of ongoing personal projects:
Black and White Street Photography - capturing interesting, quirky moments and scenarios that spontaneoulsy occur in everyday life. Tribes - a street photography venture capturing, candidly, groups of people from similar socio-economic backgrounds, distinguished by their dress, physical appearance and body language. Street Portraits - a collection of portraits of random subjects I encounter, sometimes candid shots and sometimes posed for. Petts Wood Through the Seasons - capturing the changing landscape and behaviour of nature on my daily walks with my Labradoodle, Woody.
Lucy Minto
Lucy is an accomplished and experienced photographer, and accompanies me to weddings as a second shooter. This enables us to capture your special day from all angles and scenarios. Lucy comes from a family of photographers (her father was a wedding photographer). She developed a love for the art from a young age and has been documenting life ever since.
